Booking Your Theory Test
Your first priority must be to make sure that you will be ready for your test when you take it. The biggest cause of failure is that people are not sufficiently prepared for the test.
Booking
You can book online at the Official Booking Site or by phone 0300 200 1122 or 0300 200 1133 in Welsh. If booking online, ensure you only book direct using the official direct gov website or else you may find yourself paying an extra booking fee.
When making your booking you will need your licence number and credit/debit card detsails to hand. You will be given an immediate choice of dates (make sure you book for your nearest centre) and, upon payment your booking will be confirmed immediately.
You can book by post, forms available from test centres. You will usually receive an appointment letter within 10 days.

On the day
Ensure you arrive in plenty of time. You must have your photocard licence together with the paper counterpart or if you have an old style paper licence you must bring a valid passport (non UK passports are acceptable). No other forms of identification are acceptable. If you don't have the correct documentation you will be turned away.
